From Rome to London tour

The "St. Paul's to St. Peter's Tour" on July 18 has been cancelled so we booked this tour on July 15. Anyone else going? Any comments/suggestions regarding the hotels, excursions, meals? We'll be visiting Rome, Florence, Venice, Innsbruck, Lucerne, Paris and London.

Hi NV! I know you said you'd be back by July 10 and we're leaving on the 15th (2 days!) and was wondering if you could give me some feedback on your trip (hotels, restaurants, excursions). . I'm sure you're still getting back to normal, but I'd appreciate it! Thanks. Jenice

One more Question

Postby shudson » Mon Sep 18, 2006 1:13 pm

When arriving in Rome.. .. ..you mention there is a shuttle service so I assume there is plenty of time (if we aren't too tired) to head off into Rome to view the city ahead of meeting with the Tour Co-ordinator?. .. .. ., also what time did you arrive in London on the last day (we are planning on having friends meet us for dinner that evening and hoped we could tell them when we arrive in London). ..anyway whatever info would be great..tks..sheena

Hi! We arrived in Rome around 12:30 PM their time and our tour director moved our meeting up to 3:30 por 4 PM so that we could meet and get ready for the excursion that evening. If you are on the same schedule, you will not have much time to get into the city to see anything prior to the meeting. If you do not do the excursion, you will have all evening. The excursion was wonderful. We did have time the next evening to see the Pantheon on our own and have a great dinner there after our day touring. We did use the shuttle which was inexpensive and let us off near the site. The last shuttle back to the hotel is around 10:30 PM.

We arrived in London late afternoon, in plenty of time for dinner. We hopped on the underground and went to Harrod's and then asked a street hot dog vendor where the best pub in the area was and he pointed us to the Nag's Head, where we had a beer and ate at the pub 2 doors down. We got back to the hotel later that night and thoroughly enjoyed our first evening there without the constant touring we had done during the past 2 weeks! You will have plenty of time to meet someone for dinner that day. Have a wonderful trip!
