anyone have any feedback on this cruise? i've heard some negative comments about the Galaxy's age? anyone that has been on the ship recently that could give us some feedback is much appreciated.

We traveled in May on Galaxy to Rome from Galveston and really enjoyed it -- ship was fine, food delicious, service wonderful, and the shows were first class. Had three formal nights and a magnificent buffet the last night. Would love to sail on the Galaxy again, but my traveling companion is no longer available, so have to find a cruise that can find a traveling - same-sex - partner. Might be hard to find. VBailey

We just booked this same ship from Oct of this year from San Diego and we can't wait we've been on several Celebrity ships and we love them I think the service is excellent. In fact our travel agent at nationwide cruises told us she would only book up on this ship and not a carnival because of the great service.
