I would highly recommend going on a tour when you visit Ireland. We went with CIE tours. They get 5 stars in my book. The tour guide was also our driver.. ..He was amazing. He told stories, sang songs, shared insights into the emerald isle that we didn't know. I wish I could go again. We went for a week. Make sure you enjoy your stay. I miss the irish brogue.. .. .

I went on the Irish Welcome tour last year with a somewhat apathetic college freshman (my daughter) and she ended up spending her sophomore year studying abroad in Galway Ireland.. ..largely due to our 9 extraordinary days in Ireland.. ..and the wit, wisdom, compassion and care of our guide. CIE is my best escorted touring experience in 20 years of travel.
