My husband I are are going for the first time (newbies). . Wanted to know if anyone out there knows if this is a good time to go? I guess it really does not matter we are already booked and excited to go!

We haven't been in May, but I have no doubt you'll find it's a great time to go - the weather should be great, hurricane season begins June 1. Avg temps range from mid 70's to high 80's. May get an afternoon shower, but they usually move thru pretty quickly.

Not sure how the crowds are in late May (we've been in April & Nov). . You might want to check out dennyp.com He has a lot of info on Hedo, including a visitor list where you can post your trip dates & connect ahead of time with others that'll be there overlapping with you. We've always "met" people on-line before our trips. Some people even start yahoo groups so people can post pictures, messages & have chat's leading up to the vacation.
