Inside Cabin

Postby Rob and Beth » Mon Jun 13, 2005 4:42 pm

I've taken several cruises and to be honest, I spend so little time in the cabin, I'd rather spend the extra money on a land tour or a trinket. I take the cheapest room, (much prefer mid ship, bottom, it's sooo still). .

We just booked the 4th cruise in the past couple years and again, I took the least expensive which is the bottom on the Mercury and it's a savings of about $400 for the two of us.

You can always go on deck to look out and only a really nice balcony gives you a view, so that's really a very expensive upgrade. Those little portholes are worthless.

I'm not saying it's not nice, but just want you want to do with your money.

I HAVE BEEN ON TWO CRUISES WITH BALCONY SUITES BOTH TIMES. ONE LASTED 27 HOURS UNTIL THE BOAT RAN AGROUND AND STARTED TO SINK. THE SECOND MADE IT THE FULL 7 DAYS. IN 7 DAYS I DONT THING WE SPENT 2 HOURS ON THE BALCONY.

for my parents-urgent!

the cruise that sunk, which one was it? i'm trying to save money to send my parents for their anniversary. they want to go to scottland and england, so i thought- transatlantic. i found a nice cruise on celebrity that would take them from a port in New Jersey, stop in France, then England. I think they'd really enjoy it. I was going to try and get the 8 Night Spring Transatlantic (Bayonne to London) cruise. I wanted to get them a suite. Is the Constellation nice? Is the service good? Do they treat the guests with a lot of respect and try their best to accomodate the needs of the guests? Is there an activity guide or director? Someone who can give them brochres and recommend activities they might enjoy? Is getting them a suite worth it? (are they as nice as how much I'll be paying for, along with the help of my sister, one year older than I?) It's going to be hell saving up all this much, especially since my sister and I are too young to obtain a credit card. Both of us are minors. I'm in 8th grade and my sister in 9th. Is the Constellation dependable-meaning (it's not very probable it's going to sink)? :?

Balcony Cabins

Postby krgarland » Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:18 pm

I will be taking my fifth cruise and I always book a balcony cabin. To me there is nothing like waking up at 5am and watching the sunrise on a place I have never been thinking that I am the only person to ever see these sights. My cruise to Hawaii was stunning from my balcony as I sat in my pjs with a fresh coffee in my own little world.
