Advice on Cruises for a man with special needs.. .. .

Postby Kevin » Wed Mar 08, 2006 11:44 am

Hi, I work with a man with downs syndrome and he would like to go on a cruise. He doesn't have any special needs but wouldn't like anything to formal ie tuxedos. He likes musical shows and swimming. He would be supported by myself and another member of his staff who would need a separate berth within the cabin. Does anyone have any suggestions what cruies lines would be good?

Cruises

For best advice, I'd have to ask how much everyone's looking to spend - and are there destination preferences? When are you looking to travel, and how long of a cruise are you interested in?
Do you have a specific port you want to leave from? Go somewhere warm? Cooler? Are you looking for planned activities, or something more loosely organized? Touristy? Fun? Something leaning towards history?

So many options available to you.. . please let me know more.
