I am considering taking the tour of Portugal and/or a tour of spain with Globus and wanted to see if anyone had any positive or negative feedback.

I took the "Portugal In Depth" tour with Globus in 2004. Portugal is the most magical, old-world country in Europe. You will love this tour and I can almost guarantee that your first visit will not be your last. Lisbon is fabulous. Be sure to go to the castle (via taxi to the top) and walk the streets. Eat in one of the sidewalk cafes. Helena will give you a tour of the city, Alfama, Sintra and Quelez (not to be missed). . Cascais, Obidos, Nazare and Estorial are wonderful and on the coastline west of Lisbon. It is gorgeous. All of the destinations and scenery to the north is great. Porto was a lot of fun too. All of the towns on the way south to the Algarve are inland and very hot in the summer. The Algarve beaches are nice.

Have you had the chance to check out Insight's version of Spain & Portugal? Their itinerary seems to be better, as it visits Barcelona and more cities in Spain. It's slightly more expensive than Globus, but with the discounts you can get from a reseller, the difference becomes negligible. As a matter of fact, I initially looked at Globus' S&P's tour, then opted for Insight for my tour this year.

I just returned from a 10-day tour with Globus to Spain (Spectacular Spain). . I had a wonderful time. Globus's service is very good, nice hotel, excellent TD and local tour guides. Spain is a very beautiful country. Highly recommend this tour.

I noticed your message from last year and was wondering if you did in fact go with Globus? We are going next month with Globus for 12 days to Portugal, Spain and Morocco. I was wondering if you have any suggestions? Things you would have done or seen differently? We have never been on a tour before.
