What is the average age of people on a Globex tour? We are a young couple (age 27) and wanted to see if we would feel out of place.

We were once told that the average age was 56 - however I'm sure that that was higher than the average on the two tours that we were on.

On the summer tour, there were a lot of families with teenagers, some young couples, some older couples, etc. There were some couples in their twenties and thirties.

On the fall tour, there was a young couple on their honeymoon even.

At 27, you would probably be on the younger end - but I don't think would feel out of place. And, in our experience, all the younger and older people mingled and were congenial with each other.

On our tour last year, I would say the majority of folks were older than me (I'm 45) but there were some college age kids and a few who looked to be in their late twenties/early thirties. My daughter was the youngest at 10.

Everyone mingled together beautifully. It was a great opportunity to hang out with people outside of your age group - adds to the whole learning experience.

The average age on a Globus tour is Fifty-four years; seven months and fourteen days. Stay away from the summer tours with the crowds and families who haul their kids to Europe.

Average Age

My husband and I just returned from the Best of Italy tour. There was a good mixture of ages on the tour. The ages ranged from approximately 7 years to people in their 70s. I would say that on our tour, the majority of the people were over the age of 30. The children on the tour were very well behaved. The majority of the people on our tour were women. Many of them were teachers on their summer vacation. The bus rotation and the included dinners allow everyone to mix and mingle. We got to know everyone and had a great group.

On our October 05 tour, we had ranges from 26 - 70s. It was a really fun lively group.

On our July 06 Essential Europe trip, the ages varied from 9 to 80. It was a homogeneous mixture of ages :) There was a couple celebrating their 25th anniversary, while there was this lady with her two daughters out to celebrate her 80th birthday.

Every one was so friendly, and age did not matter. We are in our late thirties and we found enjoying gondola rides, restaurants etc with couples in their later fifties and early sixties. I think everything depends on you and what you decide to make of the trip.

Good luck and bon voyage.
