Just returned from this 8 day tour of Lombardy and Tuscany. Good tour, great photo opportunities but, beware, there is some moderate walking from the bus into the center of the old walled cities. The tour follows the itinerary so when it says "view" that's what you do. For "visit" you go inside with a licensed guide. Best way to handle this tour is to buy all of the options, except the lunch in Venice (because you'll have dinner 3 hours later)! Better to spend the extra time visting the Doge's Palace or the Basilica, or venturing the old streets. There is free time but it covers a few hours here and there. So know what you want to do/see in your free time. I used it to do some sightseeing just before and after dinner and also to catch a Carvaggio exhibit in Siena and the Bargello in Florence. Of course, if you want to sit and have coffee, that's always available. Also, be prepared for your first visit of the day to be pretty early with the possibility of museums and other sights being closed until 10AM. The 3 nights in both Verona and Florence is a strong plus!
