I haven't been there in March.

Before a recent trip to Central Europe, I did some googling and found weather information for the places that we were going to visit. I was also able to find daylength.

Weather - Northern italy

Here are a couple of replies I got on a similar question about April so March may be a little cooler.. .

1. April should start to be warmer than the months berfore, but you never know. Last april was cold in central Italy where I live, so . .. .. .
As for the rain, again, who knows?
Bring a warm raincoat, sweaters, long and short sleeves T-shirts and be ready either to cold or warm weather, but not hot!

2. In Veneto (Venice & North of), weather in April can be really variable.
Of course it's spring and days are getting longer, but we can have really rainy days and then sunny and warm ones. Usually the air and the breeze are still a little cold.
Besides, it depends on what area of Veneto we are talking about: in the Dolomites (and in general on the mountains) there is still snow and expect especially nights to be really cold, while in the plain, it's warmer.. .. .
Let's say: no short sleeves or swimsuits, but no heavy coats or scarfs either.. .

Cheers - Barney :)
