I am trying to find out if blue jeans are acceptable wear for England and Ireland. Any info on proper attire would be helpful.

Yes they are fine too wear in the UK. I wore the many places when we were there, the only time I ever noticed any looks was when I wore shorts. Apparently shorts are not as commomn there as in the US, but even shorts are acceptable. You will find every type of attire in the big cities and more just Casual attire in the small towns & villages.

Not sure if entire countries forbid or ban blue jeans (and Yes I know you were being a smart a** in asking the question, but I agree it is a strange topic) but there are some places that will not allow you in if you are wearing jeans! It probably seems like a silly question (to wear or not to wear), but I personally would rather KNOW in advance then to Mistakenly offend someone (for instance the Vatican), of course thats because Im OLD.. .. .. ..ROFLMAO!
