Hello

I'm about to travel down to Panama. I'm leaving from California and will be traveling alone until Guatamala. I was planning on buying a 4x4 and driving all the way down. But I was wondering, gas prices being what they are now, if anyone has bought a car in Mexico?

I was thinking i could just fly into Mexico City or Cancun and buy a car, thus alleviating a couple thousand dollars in gas.

Any knowledge anyone could pass on would be greatly appreciated.
