Globus and Brendan

Globus and Brendan

Postby Jacqueline » Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:12 am

Does anyone know if Brendan and Globus are sister companies? Why does both companies offer the same tours such as the Italian Mosaic?

If one is booked on Brendan and there are not enough to go on tour will they move you to the Globus tour since they are identical?

Thanks for any responses.. ..I will post this to the Globus board as well.

Globus owns Brendan, as they also own Cosmos.

I kinda would be interested in further input on this too.. .. .. .

I had my heart all set for a certain Globus tour, and finally was ready to book it, and it suddenly was all booked up! bummer, but then looking over at Brendan, I see the exact same tour, same itinerary, same hotels.. ..still available, and actually a little cheaper!

does anyone have any input on this? I mean, they may be sister companies, but if they're the same itinerary and same hotels, then by god they might as well be the same tour, as won't the Globus and Brendan tour people keep running into each other? Is one more quality than the other? any input would be appreciated, and I'll jump right on this Brendan tour!

I got new info

I had my travel agent call Brendan since that is who are Italian Mosaic is booked with. They told her that both companies pull from the same allotment. So if the Globus tour was not going then Brendan would not be going as well. My tour is from 1/2/06-1/15/06 and 20 people have booked so far and the bus holds 44, so they believe our tour will be going.

Hopefully this will shed some light on this topic.

I went on a Globus tour this summer to Italy and there were two people on our tour who booked through Brendan. Our tour director stated that Brendan is a wholesaler for Globus. The tours were one and the same. (And several people on the tour wanted to ask the two who had booked through Brendan what they had paid.) I know the Brendan tour listed for exactly the same price as the Globus tour, because I read a description of it at a travel agency before I left. . .. ..so I'm not quite sure what our tour director meant when she said that Brendan is a wholesaler.

I know that I got the same tour Italian Mosaic 1/2/06-1/15/06 quoted from both Brendan and Globus and Brendan was cheaper I believe by over 100 or 200 dollars, so that is why I chose Brendan, plus they are highly recommended by my travel agent.

Some of the people on my Globus tour last year and this year booked their tours through Brennan. Don't know the details but can vouch for them working this way.
