Don't forget about ice cubes and vegetables like lettuce that need to be washed before serving.

Hi, Just got back from a month long trek to India – a must see if you haven’t been. But, check this out. I have a very sensitive stomach and tend to get sick a lot , so before leaving, my uncle (who’s an avid camper/hiker) suggested I take his Steripen - a small, battery-operated gadget that sterilizes water. It is small and didn’t take up any space in my backpack. I was able to drink all of the water I wanted. I'm was also a bit wary of the brushing teeth with tap water. I get bleeding gums on occasion and suspect that would raise my chances of catching something nasty, but never had any trouble with the dreaded “New Delhi Belly” as they call it. What a life saver!
