My husband and I are contemplating a trip to Hawaii in July 06. We are not sure if we should take a cruise or plan a trip in which we stay on one or two of the islands. We will be traveling from Virginia. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.[/b]

Where would you be taking the cruise from? Are you interested in any particular island? I spent a couple of months in Kona (the Big Island). . I highly recommend the Big Island simply because it contains all of the world's climates except for the Saharan and the Antarctican. If you take a cruise, make sure it goes to numerous islands as they all have different things to offer. I flew over from Oklahoma City via Los Angeles, and my mom and I stayed for a couple of weeks. Then I went back later. We rented a car while we were there, but we only stayed on the Big Island.
