Loreen, the group will consist of approximately 40 people, and their ages will typically range from pre-teens to senior citizens. However a significant number of travellers will be in their 40s and older. As long as you are in good health, and can walk easily, and you are willing to meet new friends, you will have a great time. Also try not to pack too much stuff. It makes it easier for you to unpack and repack at each destination. Remember to take all your medication.

Loreen - We went on a tour with Globus last summer and our group had a lot of families with kids from 13 on up. I asked our tour director about the average ages since I was expecting our son to be one of the only teens and that most people would be older than us. He said that in the summers, there are lots of families, teachers, etc. on the tours. During the rest of the year, he said there are few kids.

Our group was very congenial - no problems.

Which Eastern European tour? We took the Warsaw, Baltics and Russia trip earlier this summer. There were 37 on our tour, ranging in age from 25 to 80s. It was very fast paced, but I thought Globus, and our tour director in particular, did an outstanding job organizing it - given that it's a new trip this year.
