We will be staying here for part of our Essential Europe tour. Has anyone stayed there? Are there buses or any other handy transportation between the hotel and Venice to take a trip into the city at night?

We stayed here about two weeks ago. It is about 15 miles outside of Venice. If you ask at the desk, they will give you information about the local bus. There is one that will pick up and drop off right at the hotel. We did not take it, but some others on are tour did.
