Two of my grandchildren (ages 19 and 21) and I just returned from a fantastic "European Horizons" trip to London,Brussels,Cologne,Innsbruck,Munich,Venice,Rome,Florence,Pisa,Monaco, Nice,Zermatt, Lausanne, and Paris. We had the best tour guide anyone could ask for. He is a professor from Belgium, named Luc Demet, who gave us a history of each country we visited, an overview of the sights we would see, a description of the people's temperament in each country, and music from each country. Both grandchildren said they learned more about the world in two weeks than they did all through school! The pace was moderate, with about 6 hours sleep nightly, and we travelled almost 3,000 miles, but it all was worth it! I highly recommend this trip for those who have the time and stamina to keep up the pace. Also, the optional trips are a must - or you'll miss a lot!
