I am planning on driving down through the isthmus to panama. I have been contemplating bringing my laptop, and ways to possibly conceal it within vehicle. I'm a web designer and really can't afford to take 3-6 months off programming. I would also like to be able to work on my portfolio and send out resumes while on trip, since I'll be quitting my job to take the trip. I don't, of course, want to lose my laptop.

I would also like to bring my camera to get some stuff in my photography portfolio. It's kind of expensive and don't want to lose that either.

Anyone have any thoughts traveling with valuables down there?
