1st cruise on Norweigan Sea Cruise Line /Any Suggestions

We're 1st time cruisers. 2 adults 2 teens(15-19) cruising the Norweigan Sea in June out of Houston. Has anyone sailed this ship? Can you give me some must see ideas. Is the dress code laid back? Can you get away with nice jeans and a nice top for the adults and teens in the dining rooms?? I've heard conflicting stories, so if you've actually sailed it and wore jeans PLEASE let me know. You can get away with wearing jeans in the dining rooms during breakfast or lunch, but the dress code for dinner is No jeans or shorts in the evenings. Dress slacks, sundresses, even nice capris are acceptable but most cruise lines still adhere to the old policy of no jeans. Of course if you had a nice pair of black dress jeans you might get away with it, but that would be up to you if you want to try it, the worse that can happen is you are turned away. Since Norwegian is free style dining now, you just go to the dining room when you are ready for your dinner and you will be seated, so there is a chance you could be told that you may not enter the dining room in your jeans.
